In this economy most people's priorities have changed. Less disposable income, possible job loss, no hope for the future etc... If you were to buy one edged weapon this year, what's the most you would (could) spend?

I would have a hard time justifying spending "avatar money". If I saw something in that price range that I loved and really wanted it then I would get it, but I think the possibility of that is unlikely.

It's a lot of money and so I am inclined to not buy unless I really love the sword. The Tai Chi sword Jasper bought last year was one I would have bought if I saw it in person. It was nearly the perfect image of what I am looking for. I think I posted here about buying it inside of a minute from when I clicked on the picture.

There are a few items on the web site that I think I would like to have, but none that sing to my soul in a "I must own this" way so that I am looking to run out and part with $2,500+ dollars.

When I see the sword that evokes that reaction then I will not hesitate.
